Dame Angela Brigid Lansbury, born on October 16, 1925, in London, England, is an actress in a lot of theater, film, and TV shows. She has triple British-Irish-American citizenship. Having a career that has spanned almost eight decades, Lansbury is recognized as one of the last living stars from Hollywood’s Golden Age. In 1942, she arrived in Hollywood and got her first acting credit with the film Gaslight. This was then followed by 1945’s The Picture of Dorian Gray – for which she earned two Oscar nominations and a Golden Globe Award.
Today, she lives peacefully in a traditional farmhouse in County Cork, Ireland, which her good friend Stephen Pearce designed. The house’s atmosphere, with the gentle winds and the swaying of the grass outside, emits a calm and gentle aura for the people residing within.
