Cloris Leachman is an actress and comedian who mainly performed in TV shows during her career. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1926. Some of her film credits include appearances in 1947’s Carnegie Hall and 1955’s Kiss Me Deadly. On TV, she has appeared in shows like Rawhide and Lassie, along with guest appearances in the Twilight Zone. For playing the character of Phyllis Lindstrom on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spinoff Phyllis, Leachman received both Primetime and Daytime Emmy Awards.

In 2020, Leachman listed her Topanga home on the market for $3.4 million. The house is on Topanga’s best street. After buying it in 2012 for $930,000, Leachman redesigned the house to her liking with some assistance from her daughter, Dinah Englund. The 4,000-square-foot home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a third-story loft.
