Shirley Mae Jones is an actress and singer, with a career that has spanned over six decades. She was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania on March 31, 1934. She is best remembered for appearances in 1955’s Oklahoma!, 1956’s Carousel, and in the TV series The Partridge Family, where she acted alongside her stepson, David Cassidy. In 1960, Jones won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Elmer Gantry.
