Sean Connery | $1.859 Million, County Wicklow

Born on August 25, 1930, in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh, Scotland, Sir Thomas Sean Connery is beloved by many for being the first actor to portray James Bond in the 007 franchise. Before appearing as Bond, Connery had been appearing in small theaters and television shows. He starred in the films, Dr. No, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds Are Forever, and Never Say Never Again. Connery has also received credit for 1987’s The Untouchables, 1964’s Marnie, 1974’s Murder on the Orient Express, and 1975’s The Man Who Would Be King.

In 2013, Connery’s former Violet Hill house in County Wicklow had been placed in the market for $1.859 million. Within the 3.5-acre property, there are flower gardens, plenty of trees, and a tennis court. Connery originally owned the home between 1975 and 1979, and considered it his private getaway whenever he needed time away from Hollywood.
