Joanne Woodward & Paul Newman | $7.5 Million, Connecticut
Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman are what some people consider to be a Hollywood Power Couple. Newman and Woodward shared the screen more than once in films such as 1957’s The Long, Hot Summer, 1961’s Paris Blues, and 1990’s Mr. and Mrs. Bridges. They are also the second Oscar actor and actress couple in the American film industry after Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh. Outside of film, the couple is known to help charity organizations, especially Newman’s Own Foundation.
In 2014, Woodward and Newman’s property, which is part of a 10-acre estate in Connecticut, was listed in the market for $7.5 million. The property includes a main house with six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, a carriage house, and a 200-year-old barn. Purchasing the entire estate would cost approximately $10 million. It is one of the most lavish investments on our list.
