Harry Belafonte | $2.9 Million, New York

Harold George Bellanfanti Jr., more popularly known as Harry Belafonte, born on March 1, 1927, is an internationally renowned Jamaican-American singer, songwriter, activist, and actor. He earned the title “King of Calypso” after he introduced the Caribbean musical style to an international audience. Outside of music, Belafonte has received acting credit for movies like Beat Street, Kansas City, and more recently, 2018’s BlacKkKlansman.

In 2019, he was reported to have placed his colonial-esque house for sale for $2.9 million. Belafonte owned the house from the 1950s to the early 1990s. The house – built on a 100 plus acre plot – has a two-bedroom guesthouse with a pool and terrace on one side. The main house has a master bedroom and a fireplace. Other places in the house include a tennis court, a one-bedroom cabin, and a caretaker’s home with a barn.
