Anthony Hopkins is a Welsh actor, composer, director, and film producer. He is often associated with Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lamb, Hannibal, and Red Dragon films. In more recent years, Hopkins has also become synonymous with being Thor’s father, Odin, in Marvel’s Thor movies. However, Hopkins’ first acting credit dates back to 1968, when he portrayed Richard the Lionheart in The Lion in the Winter. Richard Attenborough, also once claimed that the Welsh actor was “the greatest actor of his generation.”
